The random verb I choose for my 2D and 3D projects was ‘Falter’ which means “Lose strength or Momentum” other definitions include ‘stumble’, ‘move unsteadily’. Initially I was confused with the verb, I have no clue on what should be done, and I mistook the verb for something falling so that it looses momentum or strength and started to device the ideas around that space, I made little thumbnails of my ideas and enlarged them using different materials and found out with the tutors help that I was making something wrong, and started approaching the verb, such that my work conveys its original meaning. once I gathered some ideas I tried to expand them into 3D tactile and Digital processes as a sequential iterative process. I couldn’t find many images on Pinterest that relates to Falter but many of which I came across are abstract shapes with simple forms such as lines or squares or circles. my main element of communicating the verb is always been the line which is subtle and makes the work so light and helps to easily understand the verb. I thought that other shapes would make my work complex, I might have considered using other forms if I have got a different verb. the composition, positive and negative space, tones, lightening and printing of my images helped me to elevate the work. I got to know how an idea can be expressed in various ways using the same form but in different structures, (for example, 95% of my 3D tactile project work represent the line form, but in various structures). This term also helped me to learn how an idea can be expressed through various processes conveying the same meaning.
